July 3RD and 4TH Celebrations

We had a great time this year for the 3RD and 4TH. The 4TH fell on a Sunday so Star Valley celebrated on the 3RD. Aleah was able to march in the Parade, two parades actually! She marched in the Thayne Parade at 10:00 AM and then the Afton Parade at 1:00 PM. Rich and Sherrie brought Bryce clear from Jackson to support Aleah, we thought that was super neat! Aleah did a great job and it was so fun cheering her on! We are so proud of Aleah! She sets her mind on something and then just does it! She decided this past spring that she wanted to try out for the drill team. We got her into some dance classes for a few months, she tried out, and yeah! made it! What a accomplishment! She is such a example to me!

Eric, Chance and Aleah were able to spend some time at the Afton Civic Center honoring Eric's Grandpa Call. He was inducted into the Afton Hall of fame for his contributions to the Community. Eric's siblings and parents were up for the events as well. The kids were able to see family that they don't often see. Later that Evening Chance and Aleah spent some time by the lake with the Schreiber's making tin foil dinners and visiting. Eric and I were able to spend some time home alone, well alone plus Joyah!! The kids got home late with a extra kid (Eric's brothers boy Aris) in tow. It turned out to be a perfect day.

Then on the 4TH, Rich and Sherrie put out a blanket at the base of Snow King for us and we drove into Jackson early evening for our traditional "Fire In The Hole" adventure! Chance and Aleah loaded up their Love Sac's in the back of the car then hauled them out onto the grass! It was Eric's brilliant idea and yes it was brilliant!! The kids were comfortable as could be! Joyah loved the fire works and clapped and shouted "YEAH!" through the entire show! Jackson always has the best show hands down! And we love to hang with Rich and Sherrie and Bryce. Its always like a huge Jackson family reunion and we love it now more than ever since we have moved away! We are so blessed to live in America, land of the free. We are so grateful for those who fought for us and continue to make sacrifices for us so that we can enjoy our freedoms each and every day. God Bless America!
